This type of binding is permanent.

finished paper.
The paper is a 60 lb weight, acid free, natural color and unlined.

Hand Laced
(AKA - Codex or Cord Binding)
One of the earliest and most simple forms of binding.
The cord bound book superseded the rolled form.
The manuscript in flat
book form was held together by a cord which passed through holes
pierced along the spine margins of parchment or paper sheets, similar
to Japanese bound books.
D'Vyne Wrytes blank books are a modernized
version.
The books are pierced with a
standard three hole punch or two hole punch
to accommodate loose
leaf notepaper or day
planner fillers.
This style binding was inspired by early codex
side-stabbed binding method.
The books are crafted with genuine leather and loose
leaf parchment finished paper.
The paper is 60 lb weight, acid
free, natural
color and unlined.
This type of binding is refillable.
Exchange the text weight paper
with a cover weight paper
and this style book easily converts to a sketch
book, photo
album or scrapbook!
Cord binding books will open flat when the cord is
loosened.

"Several months ago, I had
ordered one of your books. When I received it, I couldn't believe the
wonderful workmanship and quality that you put into this book. I wrote you
stating how much I loved it! I just want you to know that not only do you
certainly have a gift, but also that, no doubt, you have been a bookbinder
probably during the Middle Ages! I commend you for your talent."
